Nice pot! I have been slow playing too much in the past when i flop a big hand. Now i adhere to the addage that in order to win a big pot you have to build one. In addition on this hand i'm leading into the pre-flop raiser with what could seen as a week bet but it also gives the wrong price to any flush draws out there.

With a min re-raise and a call from the utg+1 the pot is big enough that i just push. the only thing i'm worried about is the flush draw if anyone decides to chase, but of course i have outs to the boat.

Sour!

On the face of it this seems like ur garden variety suckout... guy makes two pair on the river. but i think i made two mistakes on the hand. maybe one.

  1. At first i was thinking i should've reraised the turn, however at the time i was concerned about JT, which is a hand that people like to play, so maybe the call was ok. also i dont think that this guy would have laid his pair and gutshot any way... fish!
  2. My biggest mistake, and something i have to seriously work on, is the call on the river. all i have is TP, the board is coordinated and Opp is betting into me... fold and save the extra money.
  3. DO NOT CALL A LARGE RIVER BET WITH JUST TP ON A DANGEROUS BOARD!
  4. hmm... Just noticed this... Probably shouldve pot it or bet at least 2/3rd of the pot on the flop.... sigh poorly played on all streets!

Todays Results:
462 hands @ 18ptbb/100 -- 12/5

Made some poor plays like the one above but overall played well. Only got a chance to play one 2hr session today. would like to get in one in the moring and one in the afternoon before i have to get ready for work, about 1k hands total.
